At the beginning of 2020 I owned 2 T Style guitars, an MIA and a Modded Harley Benton, playing at home during covid allowed me to realign my guitar preference from strat to tele, I now have 6. I thought it would be cool to show what you have now and then do this again next year to compare how we change

Gene Baker is building some mighty fine guitars up in Tehachapi, a 45 minute drive from Bakersfield.

It took a couple of minutes, but I started to actually like the headstock...

I've got plenty of guitars, but I would part with a few to get one of these.

Well, right now I have three:

    2009 MIM Standard:

    2019 Ron Kirn:

    2019 Artist series Jimmy Page:

I think I may end up donating the MIM Std to the local school district, but for now, this is what I have.

I've got two right now, a SX STL-50 that I've had a long time and a cheap kit build I put together this year. Both have been modified considerably from stock, with the necks and bodies being the only significant stock parts remaining. I may put together another in 2021, maybe a Cabronita style one.

The LP Jr is getting worked on. The acoustics are in cases. My son has the Electra Hagstrom from '66.

    • 2000 American Standard that I’ve had from new
    • A home built thinline with a Bigsby and Wizard (a now retired uk maker) pickups - second guitar I built.
    • A home built t style with P90s, a S type trem and contouring.
    • And new this year an Esquire that I built almost by accident. I hit a snag on another build and made use of a body I’d made years back as an easy build to recover inspiration...

Godin Stadium '59 in vomit blue/green with SD '59 neck humbucker, Fender Nashville Telecaster (Twang King/Lollar pickups), Godin LP with P90's, and the Christmas purchase...a custom-made Weber Nashie with Fralin Big Singles. And, coincidentally, the Tone King Sky King hanging around in the background as in the video above. Best amp ever.

DANG!....I like that. Looks (and sounds) like the perfect mix of Telecaster and Firebird, with a PRS-ish headstock. Great playing as well. I take it that's a baritone? If so, does he make "normal scale" as well? Thanks for posting.
EDIT....nevermind! I just checked prices.....$4500+. I could have a couple of Ron Kirns or Bob Logans built for that price. Or....I could build my own for WAY less. Thanks anyway.

Hang on - there's still 4 hours left. Who knows what might still turn up?

    But meanwhile:
    MiJ 62 Custom reissue
    Natural Ash partscaster
LPB MiM Standard and Rexter built Thinline
    Edwards Esquire

The CS Thinline in the avatar, a Hahn Model C, a ‘52 Hotrod modified to have a BG1300 in the bridge (stock Duncan mini-hum at the neck) and a four 5 way switch that allows the bridge to have no tone and a cocked way sound, an American Deluxe with Duncan 5-2 pickups and a partscaster with EMG-T pickups.

Hmmm, maybe I’ll have to play one of those this weekend at church; I’ve been using the PRS Custom 22 for the past few weeks, and either my CS or Suhr Strats before that. I generally use one or another guitar for a few weeks then change out. Not sure why, but it feels right...LOL

My repair guy here in Bakersfield can build one for far less. He built a Tele out of the exterior planks from Merle Haggard childhood home.
