What parts does it take to still be a Telecaster?

    If you want to call it a "Telecaster," it has to be made by Fender. If you want to call it a "Tele-style," this is all you really need to qualify:

    Anything built around this basic shape will be identifiable as a "tele-style," at the very least, in spirit. That Parker up above can only be said to have a "Tele-style" control/pickup configuration. It is not a "tele-style" guitar. (Pretty cool, though)
