Pretty sure they were thinking exactly what you think they were thinking.

"Just let me know, if you want to go" ...

Yup, marketing works and you took the bait. Spread the word, spread the word ...

Of course we are talkin' Deadwood and I assume a reservation is involved, so sad but true.

If you mean a hotel room reservation, maybe. If you mean an Indian reservation casino, no, Deadwood has special zoning to allow 'Vegas style' gambling, no reservations anywhere near Deadwood.

Yes, but does it, in any way, make you want to go to their establishment and throw your money into a slot machine?

I'm up in two to three Deadwood casinos every week, in fact, I spent most of the day today at one, drove 21 senior citizens up there in a fifty-four passenger MCI motor coach (big-ass bus). Their average age must be around seventy-five to eighty, and not one of them were splattered in the face with gold goop.

This is 'Emily', one of my frequent gambling junket riders. She must be around ninety, and resembles the casino's female clientele a lot more than one of those billboard hookers...she always tips me one dollar on every trip

If all the billboards out there are like that I guess it’s good that you have tissue access on your bus

the molecular make up of gold is such that if ingested in small quantities will attract toxins in the body and it will bind to the gold and pass through your system , and that is why you can eat small portions of it , plus gold can be hammered out to 7 angstroms in thickness and retain its bonding to its self,

during the spanish occupation of south america , silver was more valuable than gold as silver was used as currency in europe at the time , that is why a lot of pirates were british that would ambush spanish gallions at sea and slaving ships from Africa to the states

These days, nobody can smoke in a South Dakota casino, with the only exception being a reservation casino, so the smoke is a thing of the past almost everywhere.

As you say, it's a nice 'gig', as a driver, I'm paid by the hour, and get between 8.5 and 11 hours each trip up there, usually driving only a total of two hours, the rest of the day is spent eating free casino restaurant food (comped), fiddling with my phone, and sitting back in my bus playing my Gretsch resonator, all 'billable' time. And on top of that, I make a bit of 'fun money' in tips.

I'm not forced to drive if I don't want to on a particular day, the bus company always texts me and asks if I will take a casino run on this or that day, usually from three days to a week ahead of time.

Being a 'local driver' who only operates within a 100 mile radius of my home base, I don't have to log my driving time per DOT hours of service regs. I am called upon every now and then to drive a rescue mission if another bus breaks down someplace in the region, and then I will drive outside of my 100 mile radius if necessary, but even then, because I so rarely do so, I can run old style paper logs and not electronic logs.
