I find it amusing how often I check in to this site. I don't own a tele, I don't even like teles, and my primary musical interests and pursuits veer far off what is the 'norm' on this forum. Sounds like a recipe for disaster but I feel I fit in to this community better then any of the other guitar/music based forums that I've been a part of.

Well said! I don't currently own a Tele either (I once owned a *fine* one), but I seem to be accepted here, and I appreciate that.

I always get the feeling that of I met anyone on this forum in real life we’d be cool to sit and hang out, play guitar regardless of ability/genre differences, and walk away with a new friend. Not many places like that out there nowadays.

The internet is justifiably known as a vehicle for cowards to be rude, if not cruel, with anonymity
Very little of that appears here. I love it when folks here are kind and patient with someone asking a question that they've hear a hundred times. This community has been a comfort these last few strange years.
This is a great place, I have to agree. Could it be because the majority of people who are interested in guitar are mature people, having first learned guitar during the British Invasion of the 1960s and a little later. Just curious.

(I'm going to have to a search for the phrase "Get off my lawn!"

This site is cyclical at best IMHOP. At times, I like it better than others. It's the quality of the post's, where it is most reflective. There is valuable information to be gleaned, there are absolutely fantastic thread authors. Great minds and even some great guitarist. Kind of like "Twitter" of guitars, which I am NOT a fan. Where is Elon?
