I'm talking with the seller, he has no clue what the make is. Here pics of the heel/neck pocket:

Did you get that from that Ultimate Guitar post? Cause I saw that too, not sure how reliable that is. Plus Ive never seen a squier affinity that was made of alder (usually agathis) and Ive *definitely* never seen that serial before, and Ive owned my fair share of affinity squiers..

I just looked at the listing. It looks like an affinity body and neck judging by the string trees, and the top loader. If it has a really small neck and a thinner than usual body it probably is an affinity.

The only thing is I never remember seeing a light metallic green/blue affinity tele before, It could be some other import tele body...kind of weird.

If it is an affinity, given the refin and the pickups, what do you guys think its worth?

    It's a partscaster. Probably worth about $100.

This appears to be a reworked Squier Affinity Special.

    Thinner alder body, respray.

I note the seller has conveniently got some high prices marked on those Seymours.

I predict he's wanting all of the $ 220 he's asking and I suppose you could play it and find it marvelous but I doubt he'd take $ 100 and I wouldn't pay more than $ 65.

Find out whether the neck suits you.

I love a good relic and that isn't one. He's asking too much for what it is.

I'm by far no expert, but that's where I would have stopped reading and moved on. He either really has no idea what it is, or he wants buyers to think that.

Thanks for the input everyone. Considering the hour drive, I don't think it's even worth negotiating. Ill pass on it.
