@blowtorch try Adremover online. $40 and I haven't had an add in ages. ( No Commercial Affiliations).

 

Lots of guitar gear of course. Currently they're showing me an ad for 'Up In Smoke', a local shop that sells bongs and other paraphernalia. They're way off the mark there. I haven't touched that stuff for 20 years.

 

I keep getting pop up adds for these.

Apparently I'm a well endowed, very fit, 20 something who likes tight workout clothes and enjoys cooking. My wife is decidedly not enthused.

 

I give to the cause, so I am ad free.

 

They think I live in Reykjavik.

 

For TDPRI I always just pay the site for upgraded membership so I don't have to see them. It's my way of giving back to a forum that I really like. For other sites I just ignore them. They've gotten so clever that a number of sites recognize you're using an ad blocker and won't load until you disable it 'because this is how we pay for things'. It gets a touch frustrating.
