Classic sunburst, as seen on a 1989 American Standard Telecaster. Notice the similarity to California-grown blood oranges (March 2018 crop) — surely an influence on Fender's color scheme?!?

I'm OK with just about any color, as long as it leaves some wood grain visible. Some might be fine even without wood grain.

I have to say that Midnight Wine has been really growing on me. I've always loved the color and have been considering it for either a strat or tele build - just not sure which one and whether I should do maple or rosewood....
Mmm, yes. Midnight Wine is a delicious color. I regret having sold this one.
Very nice and I do like the HSS strats too....
