Tom Johnston wrote the tune about the little town outside of San Antonio, TX, and he tossed in some Asian stuff that was a little too general in nature. For instance, samurai swords are Japanese.

And he wasn't aware of the town in TX! Apparently he rode by it while on tour and then forgot about it. A while later he wrote the song. Years later, a cabbie in San Antonio brought Chinatown to his attention and he figured out that it must have been floating around in his memory somewhere. It must have been the '70s.

Chances are good. There are some things that don't get recognized. I've had trouble with deep jazz cuts and indie label stuff.

But generally if it's on youtube or a commercial or on a major (pretty much world wide) whatever, yeah, the phone can recognize it.
