It could be sad...if you are...
But the song isn't sad, it's fkn hilarious.
This is the song thought of when I saw the headline....
We must not forget this one...
sadest song ever is any song I sing I have a voice like a bag of smashed Ar*se holes
too true Bruce. (Monte Python)
He actually did write what I think is a very sad song !
Was gonna say “gloomy Sunday” but was beat to it
Pink Floyd Dogs , it’s not really traditionally sad I guess but it’s really depressing subject matter.
In the end you’ll pack up, fly down south and hide your head in the sand, just another sad old man all alone and dying of cancer.
Jeeze Pink Floyd could you take it down a notch there ? ?
Oh yes, I'd forgotten about this one.
Or, there's The Kinks version
I guess for me depends on personal circumstances, some worship songs do it, but I guess the old cliche "break up" songs prob does it most..... after my last break up, even after many years this one still still chokes me up ....
I gotta say, I prefer the Pet Shop Boys version from 1987...
The saddest thing imaginable- a pub with no beer.
If you really want to be depressed, check out the original.
With respect to the rules, I won't mention the song title...but it was part of a trilogy performed by Nigel Tufnel. As I recall, it was in the key of D minor, the saddest of all keys...makes people weep instantly.
