Two 1960 amps, a Tweed Deluxe and a Brown Super. Just to show how transitional this time period was, the brownie is the older of the two amps.

    I assume that's a Supro/ Valco, very cool amps.
I had a Wards Airline Reverb unit that liked to send 120v to the guitar now and then, is that what you mean by "widow maker"?
I found it worked best with electric violin, as there are no grounded metal parts to touch, as long as I didn't drool on the pickup.

My oldest is a '55 Tremolux. Ratty tweed, scratchy depth pot and amazing tone.

Depending on the way it's plugged in, it has 120 volts on the chassis and strings or nothing. I need to install an isolation transformer sooner or later. Oh, and it is a Danelectro amp, it's just a tweed version of a Danelectro Cadet 123

I'd trade a kidney for a Brown Super! If you should ever need a kidney, email me!

Nope I still have my first two! A good old Squier 15 that does nothing but squeal now, and my Fender Champion 110 I graduated too! I would still have them all but sold my JCM2000 to fund my JCM800 and sold my Laney to get my Tele. Gear is only sold to replace gear here!

Not git amps, but I use them as such and they do it well.

    Bogen PH10, 1949, pp6v6 monoblock with pedals

Bogen VP12, circa 50's, se6L6 ala recordplayer conversion

My oldest is probably my Fender MusicMaster Bass, also my only tube amp. I just hauled it out of its hiding place yesterday because of a thread elsewhere on TDPRI about MMBs, and checked the serial number on the chassis. I think it's a '72 or thereabouts.

Pretty much everything in my collection was bought used, but I don't think anything else is from back before I really got seriously into guitarin'. (Which was '75 or so.)

I might fire up the MMB sometime soon, and cook the dust off the tubes.

1946 Harmony that I picked up for $10.00 at a flea market. Beautiful amp, but it's getting a transformer switch so I haven't heard it yet.

I've noticed lots of folks posting more than just the oldest, and there seems to be the hint of a competition for the oldest Reverberocket, which I would receive the blue ribbon for with my '61.

I have an Airline/Valco 1x12 Combo with Tremelo that's got to be at least 50 years old. I also have a 72 SF Twin that I've owned since '83. The only piece of gear I've owned longer than that is my 79 MXR Distortion Plus which I've owned since 79.

Those are great amps. I have a G20 and a GA-5 that both date to around 1957.
The oldest I have is a 1947 National-branded Valco Comet 1610, but I've got some other oldies too. My tweed Champ dates to 1959, 1960 Supro 1696TN,
    1964 blackface AA864 Bassman, 1966 Vibrolux, and a bunch of JMI-era Voxes.
