I like Trussart but they don't understand that a Bigsby B16 is not supposed to have a tension bar (doesn't even roll to boot). Top it off they use a chintzy roller bridge. Should be an ABM 2400 for that kinda cash...

True vintage metal (for vintage guitars) has to come from WWI Browning machine guns melted down and recast into truss rods. Edit: I'm just having fun. I don't have a clue to the answer, but I am interested in reading answers to the question. I never really considered how much the metal hardware of a guitar influences its sound. And resonator guitars obviously rely on metals having acoustic properties, so I think its a good question.

In all seriousness, putting Silver dimes under saddles improves the tone.

I'm old school, so I'd say brass.

I like the hand-forged, non weight-relieved iron guitars made by Thor the Blacksmith for Guitars of the Gods in Asgard, New Jersey, though Desert Storm Dan's repurposing of spent uranium makes for an interesting sound, too.

I'll say a 6061-T6 shell filled with Mercury.

National guitars in the 30's and 40's
    Steel on the cheap models
Brass on the mid line models
German Silver (white brass) on the top models.

I made this one out of german silver and had it nickel plated.

^ Wow Mike, very cool. Titanium might be right. Light and strong but scratches very easily.
