I'm thinking of a refin on a cheapo agile, and I'm trying to figure out what exactly shorline gold is.

This guy say this is shoreline gold:

They don't look like the same color to me. I like the first one better. Is it inca silver?

Also, does anybody know of a source?

I have a shoreline gold strat and it is NOT like the second gold picture. It is kind of like a silver with some slight beige tones in it, most would call it silver. The second pic definitely is not Shoreline gold.

According to Fender's website, this...

...is Shoreline Gold. I think it's best described as a "warm" silver.

The first one is shorline gold. The color looks just like mine (from Guitar Mill). It's sort of a blend between silver and gold. It almost seems to change color depending on the light.

So, if you want "gold" where it really looks gold regardless of light conditions (like the second picture), then I wouldn't get shoreline gold.

Both images have odd lighting but-
  1. Shoreline Gold
  2. Aztec Gold

On new cars, shoreline gold would be called champagne or metallic sand...

To me shoreline gold almost looks more silver than gold. Kind of silver with a slight tint of gold to it.

take care,
Robbie

the 1st pic is from the guitar mill's site. maybe it's yours.
I like the color of that bass, but the little color patch from reranch does not look much like it:
