    Hmmm,
Mojo doesn't necessarily have to be on an old instrument. Sometimes a guitar will just "gift" you a riff, or an entire song.

Ever pick up a guitar and find you're playing something that seems to be channeling thru you? Ya know, when ya actually just feel like a conduit between the guitar and the music.

    That's Mojo to me.

Mojo is what Yuval Noah Harari would call a type of intersubjective reality.

"It consists of imaginary entities that exist only within the communication network linking the subjective consciousness of many individuals. Money, gods, laws, nations and corporations are some examples of intersubjective reality."
I'd also throw on some Howlin' Wolf, Hound Dog Taylor and Tom Waits' Swordfishtrombones. That outta do it !

"mojo" is the rolling stones, especially between 1967 - 1974.

Mojo is being able to play behind the beat without dragging.

Hoping for a repeat in a few months

This was just about the best recurring gig our little R&R/ blues/Dead band, 'Combo Indigo' has ever played.
    IMG_9792.jpg

We played ( almost) Every Sunday morning ( weather permitting), from June- November last year, outside a neighborhood Marina, in Annapolis.

There is a very friendly cafe/restaurant, Bread and Butter Kitchen, that had us play to folks coming and going, outside diners, folks going to their sailboats, walking their dogs.

We got to jam fun swing blues, Dead, Surf, Rockabilly, (show off a great rhythm section) for 2 hours ( folks dancing in the streets), good $$, and eat free lunch on the Drive back to VA

I can't wait to go back- we hope!

When you can't boost your mojo (it starts to happen in your forties), try attenuating your hoodoo. They have a pill for it but it's just a band aid. The good news is you will inevitably write better lyrics.

I have a bad back, so I have to sit (not thrilled about this, it's a weight thing- stress on back muscles= instant pain when standing) , and we all just get comfy, and groove.
Good guys, going on 20 years playing together!
