Aftermarket rings seem to be made to fit non existent pickups. I'm talking the mounting hole to body spacing. I must have a dozen around that never seem to actually fit a guitar. Especially Stew Mac ones. Ughhh. Rant over.

I buy Gibson rings for humbuckers.
They are (like me;)) always right.
They make a few types, some have curved/arched bottoms for arch top guitars.
I only wish they were a little thicker/taller.
You can often get used ones from repair shops for cheap, too.

Yeah, I've had to rework the holes absolutely every time I've changed rings. I think none of the original rings were Gibson, so I don't know how installing Gibson rings could help me.

I find using parts made for a specific guitar from the manufacturing company is best (ie. fender covers for fender pickups/gibson rings for gibson guitars)
I know we’re not supposed to bash companies but every Time I try to use aftermarket parts like AllParts it ends up being a disaster that requires modifications and reworking
Especially Far eastern made parts the tolerances Are just not there
