Add a strat neck pickup (partscaster):
I just like it the way its supposed to be, lol.
Vinnie, that's a beauty. The Rhythm/Treble switch on mine is supposed to switch from the 3 pickups to the Piezo bridge, to sound like an acoustic guitar. The mag pickups work fine, but I haven't gotten the piezo setup to work yet!
I did that to a Flying V, I used a passive piezo TOM bridge which was activated on a push pull so either the bridge pickup was selected or the piezo. The neck could be blended in. It was very successful. Maybe I can help you trouble shoot yours?

In answer to the OP question, I would sell it and buy another Tele.
Thanks Vinnie. When I first wired things up, it worked fine, but the output from the mag pickups was routed through the Ghost preamp, and I didn't like how it sounded, so I went for a full bypass configuration, and couldn't get the piezo to work, so I stripped it all out. I haven't had the time to take another run at it. I may give you a holler if I get stuck, thanks!
I would have my FIRST nickname for a guitar - the
No, in fact, you shouldn't even be here.
Awesome Strat though....
I'm envious. I'm not looking for a Strat Plus but I am looking for a Strat Plus.
.........what if a porcupine........morphed into an armadillo?
Warmoth has had this as an option for a while.
One of my older custom builds did something similar, getting influence from telecaster for the body, and strat pickups. I put in Fender Tex Mex strat pickups, and a second high output bridge pickup, mounting things as if it was a humbucker. Strat Neck, and a Tune-O-Matic and stop bar. Basically, tried combining all the best things I liked at the time, along with some stuff that's more me (like individual toggles for each of the pickups).
Back in 2013 I won this beauty in the annual TDPRI drawing. It’s a one off strelemaster by Marc Rutters. I don’t think he has made any more of them, anyway. Daphne blue, Florence pups. I spend most of the time on the bridge pickup and mellow the sound with the tone control. Now and then I’ll use the middle or neck.
