I wouldn't be happy. My Tele is a Tele and my Strat is a Strat

But I wouldn't be averse to Strat style trem on a Tele

My custom built t-caster is a tele-strat. I like hss strats, they´re the best and versatile guitars to me but a tele is much better looking than a strat, so this was my way . Couldn´t be happier :)

No biggie.. kind of cool, actually.

One of my Strats turned into a Triple Tele. They're all nice instruments.

I love the sounds/tones of a Telecaster, but the body isn't ergonomic for me or comfortable. So I combined a strat body template and a tele body template and came up with my personal 'strele' guitars. This one has CS Nocaster pickups. Not an abomination to me.

Here's my Fleming Masterbuilt. I know it's not for everyone but I absolutely love mine. It's the one guitar I own that I'll never part with.

Variations and variety make for wonderful guitars... that's why so many players, and Fender themselves, have tweaked, modded, and created many different variations of Teles and Strats.

Choose what you like, mod as you wish. You only have to please yourself. It's all good! :D

If my Tele turned into a Strat I would sell it right quick like I have done with all the other Strata I have owned.

I’d burn it. For the exception of buddy Holly and Stevie Ray Vaughan. I could care less. Teles are the “it” guitar.

I knocked these two up. Both sound like teles oddly enough.

Love strats. Played them forever. But that anemic bridge pickup and neck pickup are nothing compared to the ones god intended. When it comes to the volume knob, I still can’t get used to it being 4’ away. Might as well be on the headstock. In fact I actually toyed around this this idea:

I would love to build a parallel universe tele from one of the Warmoth Hybrid Tele bodies. And yes, I would love a strat style tremolo as well. I may still do this someday.

Good idea that 4-PU Tele, @4pickupguy !:cool::cool: But I would be concerned by the pick / mid PUs interference while playing... Did you thought about that possible issue ? o_Oo_Oo_O

I had this pick / PU interference problem on my now sold 3-PU tele :

Definitely a nicely shaped body! The finish and the pickguard do not hurt either. You know what? It reminds me of a telecaster bass, which I like very much.

It wouldn't change my playing. I get around just fine on a Strat or a Tele. Either can be used for pretty much anything IME. Slightly different amp settings for each is all I need (just a bit more volume on the amp when using the Strat).

Sea Foam Pearl HH tele. Found a 3 hole tele control plate, wired in 1 vol, 2 tone, using a strat wiring diagram. It is PERFECT!

I'm easily confuse when building anything of value.Hence the reason a kitchen sink approach escapes me.
