My Accordion would have some sweet tone.

Accordion - Fender Custom Shop w/Atomic 50's Paint > Volume Boost > Keeley Compressor (4-knob) > Tube Screamer > TC Electronics Chorus > Volume Pedal > Analog Delay > JCM8oo!

    Glad things aren't that way!

Back in the 60's I had some older cousins that played music..

max played drums in a dance band.... and lyn played a piano accordion....

she looked tiny holding this huge thing that I couldn't pick up then... they must be hell on your back...
however I could bang around on max's kit... yehhhh..

what do you reckon was the coolest instrument to a kid?.. drums or piano accordion...;)

When I was doing sound and crew for our local parks dept years ago, I saw the biggest crazy rack full of stuff (for one player) ever. It was a miracle of modern technology for the time. 90s. It was bigger than what we were using for a good sized sound system for outdoors.

It was Octoberfest and it belonged to the accordion player.

My folks made me take accordion lessons for 6 months when I was a wee lad. Of course I wanted to play a cool guitar like the Beatles and the the Stones.

Rock n Roll would be very different... I'd have to be blowing the jug, at least you can smash it at the end.

Fender would probably come out with a new amp that has an accordion input!

Oh, you mean the Excelsior? Apparently it's named for an accordion. And I've seen a number of older Gibson amps with "Accordion" inputs on them.

    Embrace the revolution Accordio-phobes!!!! :twisted::twisted::twisted:

A lot of us would have been scratching to get girls instead of scratching because of the girls we got!

I'm ill-equipped to live in a world where accordions, ukuleles and trombones are the epitome of cool. Take me now...

As a lad our Family went to quite a few Big Polish Weddings with the full dance bands. Err, Polka Bands.

I alway's figuered the Accordian players were just short of a Rocket Scientist, what with all those key's and buttons along with pumping on that thing. I always wondered why they just did'nt put a vacuum cleaner motor into one of those things.

You can hear accordions in most of the music on almost half the radio stations around here. We have lots of Mexicans living in Texas and the culture has followed them here. The Axtell Saturday horse races got shut down though, something about ignorance of the law...

The year before I caught a documentary called Accordian Kings. I think. Worth watching.
