I started one of these at Strat-Talk and it's quite popular so I figured id try it here. I originally got the idea from the Fender forum.

What guitar-related purchases have you made in the last 48 hrs? Post em up!


I'll start. To continue upgrading my Indio Retro DLX Plus(Tele), I ordered a set of Pure Vintage '52 Telecaster knobs for the Fender vintage solid shaft audio taper pots I ordered the day before.

Ordered a vintage taper 250k pot from Sweetwater, as well.

The curly cable I ordered Saturday came in today, also.

So did the first set of Tele round dome knobs I ordered. These seem to be too round on top, though. So I ordered the 52 Tele knobs to see how they look.

4 sets of Elixir Nanoweb Super Light 9-42 strings.
2 sets of D'Addario XS 9-42 strings.
8 sets of Fender 250L Super Light 9-42 strings for doing setups.
4 Gravity Standard 1.5mm picks
2 Gravity 003 XL picks.

I've been listening to some early 20th Century music and thought they might work on a song I'm putting together.

Fender 75th Anniversary Telecaster. BLING!

Not very interesting to photograph, but some bits for a P Bass build.

I've had a nice Allparts neck and a P Bass pickup waiting for a project for ages, most of the rest is out of the parts drawer, but a cheap body I just got needs some adjustment to the neck socket so I bought a routing template.

I'll need to do some woodwork around the bridge so I'll add a chrome bridge cover to hide any crudeness. I know my limitations.

The only major expense is the tuners so I've ordered a set of Gotohs

Could be months before I spend anymore.

I ended up getting a 'pre-owned' 6128 at the weekend - you might remember me mulling over a Cadillac Green 5230?

In other news, the TVJ Classics I ordered a couple of weeks ago should be around by the weekend, and then the dowel, rubber tubing, masking tape, double sided tape will make sense
