I wonder if we're going to have to do what Fender did in the 80s and buy TDPRI back and have it user-owned? Trying not to be critical or harsh with anyone. Things changing hands are always a little messy, but troubling that NO ONE responds to reassure us.

Would hate to see this go down. The loss of the repository of tele information alone would be devastating. But the loss of the community would hurt the most.

I tried this last night. It works until you close it and try to reopen again.

I hadn't seen the activity in this thread, maybe I need to visit the TDPRI more often!

I did get the Tapatalk app but it seems to stream more advertising than forum content, I think I'll be trying some other solutions I've read in other threads about current TDPRI problems.

Oh. I see that now. I don't close mine down very often. But it stopped working when I tried it.

I can't use my browser on my phone without the popups. And I'm not changing the way I do everything else just to view this forum. I shouldn't have to.

I would rather that than be without the app!

It’s still available for iPhone. I just deleted and reinstalled and it’s working fine for now.

Delet and reistall seems to allow the app to work ok today. Didn't yesterday, delete and reinstall only worked once, then everything siezed up. Not getting the expired licence notice today either, maybe someone has fixed the licence validity.

Close the app and try to open it again. It won’t work. I just tried reinstalling. It’s still screwed.

was on a major ski forum for years, it started in 99 I jumped in late 04 I think. Massive source of technique, resort and gear info. A major ski company bought it for the domain name let it wobble for a couple years and then killed it.

Nearly 20 years of info poof.....

Praying that does not happen here.....the information members have contributed on this site is incredible.

I just uninstalled my android app to see if reinstalling it would fix it.. And it's no longer in the Android Play Store...hmmmm....

Using the chrome browser version now which is not as good as the app.. Ahh well..

I now have no way of accessing the forum on my phone. Any browser, chrome or safari, has that spinning pop up scam thing almost immediately. Same with strat-talk. Using an iPhone 7.

Someone earlier posted they have no problem on their Mac. I think this is a mobile issue. I have no issues on my computer either, so his post was out of touch and condescending.

Adblock Browser is also available in iTunes store. That comes from the same guys behind Adblock browser extension. Maybe that'd work for you?

Oh right... Safari also has an in-built adblocker, as should Chrome have. That of course might also do the trick.

Thanks Peregrin, but I really dont want to have to pay for an ad blocker to use a free forum. I belong to several other car and computer forums and don't have any of these issues, so why is the issue only with TDPRI and strat-talk? Since every other forum work's, it can obviously be fixed. Sounds to me like the owners want add revenue and could care less about fixing anything. Then they cancel the App. Frustrating.

Ad blocker options on Safari and chrome do not stop the issues. I have tried everything. There are several threads on it. Some people it works and some it doesn't. Even some with the same phone and all updates installed.
