I've owned this '68 Tele since 1974. It was my only six string electric until 2010 when my wife brought me a CV50 Strat fro my 50th Birthday.

This is my 1962 Jazzmaster that I bought in 1965 from a music store in El Paso, TX. Yes, it hung in that guitar store for 3 years. It is a 54 year old guitar that I have owned for 51 years. I had it refinished in 2014. Of course, the original pickguard (which I still have) shrunk when it was removed for the refinish. It has a custom pickguard built by Spitfire and a Staytrem bridge.

I will keep this guitar until I die. Then, it goes to my granddaughter and I made her promise me that she could not sell it until 2062. The guitar will be 100 and she will be 61. :)

I still have my 73 Martin 000-18 that I got used For Christmas in 1976. So that will make it 40 years in a few weeks.

    That's a beauty! I love those mahogany bodied 00 and 000 Martins. I have a J-18 but it's a 22 year old "youngster".

My Nocaster is going on 16 years or so I believe. I did have a Taylor 414ce of around the same age but replaced it with another a year or so ago. Other than that my '95 MIM I've had for about six years. It was the seed to rebuild the herd around. ;)

My longest owned guitar is my first electric that I ever bought. A 2005 Epiphone G 400 in Ebony finish.

Why has it lasted this long? Because it's been many places with me, met many famous musicians and even been played by a few. It's autographed head to toe. it is signed by:
    Audie Desbrow
    Sean McNabb
    Wes Scantlin
    Paul Phillips
    Ryan Yerdon
    Geoff Tate
    Michael Wilson

I have my first and second bass. The first is a Hondo II copy of a Rickenbacker 4001 Bass and then next year a bought an actual 4001 Rickenbacker bass with original case. I still have the original receipt; brand new for $397.00 with case add 4% state sales tax. I saved every cent from my pizza making job for 7 months my sophomore year in high school.

My '77 Ovation 1621 bought in '81. Nobody wants to buy them anymore so I just hang on to her.
