It's a microphone clipped to the soundhole and positioned inside the body. It's an earlier version of the audio-technica ATM-350 that uses a battery instead of phantom power.

I rotate my guitars just to keep them in playing condition, so each one gets a couple of weeks of use and then gets a rest. I keep one acoustic and one electric out on stands. At the moment those are my ‘89 Am Std Strat and my Sixties J-45. My band guitar for the last few weeks has been an Am Std Tele.

I have that Epi LP Special I except with humbuckers, it just arrived yesterday. It has a worn finish that you can actually see the wood grain where it didn’t fill in, which is cool.

Amazing guitars and not just for the money. Congrats!
