No, its time to differentiate them. Pull the humbuckers and put in something with a P90 wind, Gold foils, Filtertrons, mini humbuckers... They are all available in a humbucker sized format. Alternatively tune one down a whole step.... Use an open tuning....

I have three LPs, three Teles, 3 Dot/335 types (4 if you count my Casino), and 3 SGs. Although they are all ostensibly of the same type, they are all substantially different from one another.

That might be a darn good idea. Hmm, filtertrons . . .

    Filtertrons are my favorite!
Though some here on the forum disagree, I think TV Jones makes the best ones.
I have never heard (and I’ve heard a lot) any other Filtertron type pickup compare.
My favorites are Supertrons for neck position, and Classic+ for bridge.
    Good luck!

Too many teles (I went even crazier during this strange, non-gigging period and put together a few more unnecessary - but immediately beloved - Bigsby teles for the tours I'm not doing...) and too many nylon strings (but they go back to when I first started playing and they're all a little different).
Okay, and too many basses. (But they go back a long way, too, and I have a couple out on semi-permanent loan to friends...))

I dunno, I'm thinking maybe these...

Although! I did sell the blue model 100, second from the left in the first photo, last spring, and I will be listing the red/cream 100, second from right, on eBay in the next several days, so I will soon have trimmed my original six down to four.

The 'kicker', is that I don't play any of them, and several have never even been plugged into an amp, but the good news, is that none of them cost me a dime.

I also have two Marz 6 models, one production, and the other the prototype. I also never play these either...
    IMG_20190211_125533661_HDR.jpg

I have three in the Rockerbox semi-hollow series, though one is a bass, so that may not count. Of these three, I actually play the green one, but not the other two...

Oh, I have have two telecasters, but I don't care much for the butterscotch 'Player' I bought a couple months ago, and will probably be sending that one off to eBay pretty soon too. Nothing wrong with it, just didn't, you know....'bond'...

You can look that up for yourself by checking out the Backlund Collection at Eastwood Guitars. ;)

Getting back to the original topic, I'm not going to make a list, but within a group of a particular model there always seems be to one that is very special to me.

    They’re worth it!
    Really.
They sound like great, original Gretsch Ray Butts Filtertrons.
    Nothing else compares, IMO.

If it was a Model 200 or 400 you were putting up I'd be paying attention to the listing but I'm set as far as a Model 100 goes, at least for now. But you never know, there might be a TDPRI member who has an itch they need to scratch . . .

My wife thinks it's worth more than an average new model 100 because it's a production sample owned by the guitar's original designer, signed on the back of the headstock, and although these guitars aren't factory serial numbered, my Backlund guitars are given a unique identifying number, also on the back of the headstock, that has a personal significance.

Contrary to my wife's thoughts on this, I tend to feel that because I own it, and it's from my personal collection, that it is probably worth less than your average production model 100.

It also has its fitted hard case from Eastwood.

On eBay, I will probably start it off at $900+shipping in a no-reserve, ten day auction, and see where it goes from there...if anywhere, that is.

It is an unplayed, virtually new guitar that has only been hanging on a living room wall at our house since it was unboxed.

Note: I'm not trying to sell this guitar on the TDPRI, just describing my intention to put it on eBay either today or tomorrow.

John, I agree with your wife that your Model 100 should fetch a premium price.

I also have 4 explorers, 2 modernes, and 2 dean cadillacs.
Overkill in all of those areas, I'd say

It was back then called the H-65

These days they call it the Vertigo

Oh wait, just remembered , I actually have one of those, with all kinds of effects and stuff built-in
