What fret wire size was used on the early 90s AmStd?

I like the 6105 wire on my Am Pro. The 6150 on my 2011 MIM feels really wide and chunky. Still very playable.

I was trying to remember what was used on the early 90s American Standards. I think I had a 93 or 94 that I bought new. I sold it about 20 years ago but seem to recall the frets being closer to the Am Pro than the 11 Std although maybe not exact.

Anyone know the exact fret wire size used in the early 90s?

Its a great question, nobody ever asks it until, well, they need to know ! I happen to think we should know our guitars, necks, radius, nut, frets etc...

try this guy at Fender's email, hes pretty good, pretty fast too. Let us know
