It is the name of the best band I was ever in. I started using it on forums years ago and just continued to use it on every forum I join.

Mine is meaningless. If I remember correctly, the ones I wanted to use were already taken and Blinky popped into my head and voila.

A friend at work hung it on me back in high school. I put it on my name tag. Only guys who worked at the same pizza joint in high school knew me by it, until I resurrected it for TDPRI.

Mine is from the TV show Andy's Gang. Andy Devine always introduced the trouble-causing frog, Froggie, with "Pop your magic twanger Froggie!". And, my 66 tele is a magic twanger for sure.

First name is John..I'm a man..born in '72. Not real interesting...I came up with it in about 2 seconds when I signed up on this site several years ago. I, too, would have put more thought into it if I'd known I'd spend so much time on this crazy website.

    Tele-beeb...
My friends who like to use nicknames wind up melting my initials BB into Beebs.
    I added Tele-(beeb) 'cause I like Tele's ( and tdpri)

Oh... and the play on words Tel-Aviv
