Well I don't usually post threads about things like this. But here goes... prepare for rant.

Let me first layout the facts- not so short or sweet:

I ordered an item from a large online auction site with a buy now option, and "guaranteed delivery".
The item did not meet the guaranteed delivery date(day before yesterday), but was delivered late(3:30 PM) the next day.
I notified the site when the item did not arrive on the guaranteed date. I was told they still had time to deliver. I attempted later that day to claim for late arrival, and was again told they still had time.
Finally I emailed them through their system and was told to contact the seller, and that they would not get involved until the seller had opportunity to address the issue.
I contacted the seller and was told the item was out for delivery. I explained that the guaranteed delivery date was missed, and received a response that they did not have a delivery guarantee, an if I did it was with auction or shipper. I check the listing and it clearly shows delivery guarantee.
The plot thickens.... After many messages back and forth the seller claims that the listing never had a guarantee. I check the listing and it has changed. Ah but, I have the original email from the auction site which still shows guaranteed delivery. Heck it even has link to let them know if item is late. I message the seller with this information, and Holey Crap they are upset and claim the listing did not change.
The seller keeps bringing up the current world crisis as well.

In fairness I should note the shipment was taken to the shipper by seller the very next day. Wait for it ...The shipper notes say 'after last pickup for location-after 5pm'
The shipping was over $25.00 and I am only asking that they refund the shipping. This is one of the remedies called for in the auction site agreement.

I am now waiting for the sellers time to run out so the auction site will step in

    So couple of things:

-Anyone with similar/same issue? What happened...
-Anyone think I am being unreasonable?
I am really pi$$ed -especially that the site/seller changed the auction after the agreement. Heck after delivery.
    - Would you be pi$$ed?

The longer I live the more I feel things like customer service, guarantee...are meaningless. What say you?

Mods if this in any violates forum rules. Please remove.

Did you lose money because it was a day late? I. E. Were you unable to do a gig or something? If not, I'd let it go personally. A day late is not that bad, and this could easily be the fault of the shipping company rather than the seller.

I understand your frustration, however I think we could all be exercising a little extra patience right now.

All things considered given what's going on in the world, a day late arrival isn't a big deal. You got the shipping refund, so all is well.

I can guarantee you a guarntee never meant much of anything to anyone.

Even the pizza delivery is in question during these un-mentionable times

Right now is not the time to be picky about delivery times.
