Lower you hest to low/medium low and slowly stir in the egg a little at a time. Takes some patience but worth it.

Pan roasted cod, sauteed creminis, shiitake, chanterelle. Mushroom stock and cream reduction. Blanched kale sauteed in butter, cream and olive oil. And that's what I had.

Thank you Obsessed for reminding me of one of the best meals I've ever had. Breckenridge town Colorado a few years ago after snowboarding all day long, a great meal at the fancy restaurant in town (sorry don't remember the name).
Big Elk rib eye bone in seared open flame to a nice outer crust, rare in the middle topped with a local huckleberry/Merlot and mushroom reduction with fresh rosemary... Crazy good! Salad, wine and Parmesan risotto accompanying! Can't wait to get back and do that again some day!

A big ol’ Dungeness crab, or two, “new” potatoes, fresh asparagus, fresh baguette and butter.
A good, real French Brie and fresh (wild or organic) raspberries, either as an appetizer or desert.
    Grolsch Lager with dinner.
That would also be my perfect last meal!

We've had a balanced diet of the three major food groups this week, cow, pig and chicken.

    And pizza.

Decided I didn’t wanna deal with the grocery store on the busiest night of the week...so dig around and found some lentils and rice...then I’ll go deal with the ******* store.

I've got an adaptation of my ex- girlfriend's "Tomato Laced Curried Lentils" recipe.

Ex- was a vegan. Me... I found that when you boil a chicken you get chicken broth. Chicken broth is just the ticket to improve formerly vegan recipes. Then I added carrots. At one point I had a lot of apples to get rid of so I chopped 'em up and tossed 'em in towards the end of the boil.

Current girlfriend wins curry cook- offs using ex- girlfriend's tweaked recipe.

Just got home from the steakhouse. A ribeye, baked potato and broccoli, all washed down with a tall cold beer.
    That's Friday night living!

I can't have that tonight because that's what I ate last night.

It is indeed what I wish I could have tonight, but... you know... the wife.

Threw a cod under the broiler with just a little of whatever spices happened to be on the counter. Some mashed potatoes and a bagged salad, and that was it. Better than going out.

    Too late. A done deal.

Home made pizza, salad, a local unpasteurized IIPA, and chocolate cherry cake.
