I like the way it looks. Once it’s all together the real question will be how does it play? Nice job, good luck with her.

I'll be interested to hear how long it takes to touch up the finish on the body. Scratches like that can be difficult!

It's almost done, pure vintage 64 fender pickups and electronics are coming

Body from Italian manufacturer franchin guitars, alder and nitro finish

Neck from a Chinese classic vibe strat, rosewood

Hardware from classic vibe and Callahan

Now it's only 2,8 kg I guess when it's finished it would be about 3.1 kg or 7lbs

Do you think it looks good? I am no used to the strat shape headstock in a tele...

Wasn't there a Tele that had a full headstock?

I really like the color man - great job! As for the headstock, I tend to lean towards the original Tele one, but that might be a matter of being used to it.

If Ola Englund can fit his reverse Ibanez headstock necks on a Tele body, then a Strat headstock shouldn't be an issue.

Nice. Good choice on Callaham. I had my eye in Franchin a few years ago when I was building one of my teles, but I wasn’t familiar with them and hesitated too long. By the time I decided on it, it was snatched up. Looks like they do decent work.

Yeah, that'l go... here is one a built earlier; it's not a Tele or a Strat neck/headstock... somewhere inbetween :) NOS (twenty years old), maple neck, rosewood board, med/large frets, Fender tuners, Holy Grail walnut body, Tonerider Alnico2 Pups... I had to do a slight amount of profiling to the FretKing neck heel to marry it to the Holy Grail pocket... keeping in mind the intonation which is spot on... If I remember I used a .030 maple taper shim in the pocket. Partcasters can some times be a gamble... but this sounds and plays killer!

I like the color and wear.

I put the rosewood neck from the American Tele on our right onto the parts Tele on the left. And put my American Strat neck on that Tele, and a rosewood Warmoth neck on my Strat, about 20 years ago.
