those "out of body experiences"?... is that going to another dimension?..
I've had a few of those,

"Dimension" as the term is often used in Sci-fi is not really a synonym for multiverse but they have been swept into the same cinematic bucket. The multiverse is a serious hypothesis in quantum theory. It might be true. You are right that travel between universes is just a science fictional trope at the moment. Also in current particle theory, there are more dimensions than four, though some are very tiny and folded. (My son is a physicist.)
no! belief in a being does not constitute the being actually existing, a lot of people believe in santa claus , the easter bunny, Myra Breckenridge, Mr Natural, The lone Ranger but the belief does not certify actual existence.I believe in YOU, p-p-c; does that count?
Well, depending on what they do after exiting the vehicle, you might actually have a whole 'nother set of concerns the next day...Seriously, if they came and told me that a space ship landed and aliens walked out the side, I still have to get up tomorrow and go to work. I still have some laundry to do. I still have to get my car's oil changed.
I am just a big picture kind of guy.
I place into the same group as Aliens, Bigfoot, ghosts, etc. I don't know if they exist and I don't care one bit, because it changes nothing for me.

The multiverse, multidimensional thing, is the greatest form of navel-gazing we've come up with so far.
