I'm going to hit 65 on New Years Eve. I still feel like I'm about 33. Others* would disagree.

    * Wives, Girl Friends, Romantic Partners, etc. however you want to define the one in your life

Right in the middle between intractable crank ass and constant guitar polisher ("is that a nick ?!")

Or below 10. It's hard to tell the difference.

Don't assume peoples' lives have been like yours, and don't assume they were born with a body in the same condition with the same expiration date as yours. Some people bear much greater burdens than others and it takes a toll on the body.

I googled the average age of baby boomers and they range from age 52 to 70, which to me seems like the majority of members here. Fortunately, there are enough of a healthy smattering of younger players to keep us old farts in line that would skew our group to the younger edge, so I'm thinkin the average is about 54.

Yup, that there is guitarist math.

I'm old enough that when my last birthday was approaching, I had to do the math to figure out how old I was/was going to be.

Having been in 2 rollover accidents in your 20's doesn't help either!
Last year in my 40's and my body is reminding me of all the dumb crap I did when I was younger...

Judging by all the "I hate everything" and "get off my lawn" threads, I'd say Paleolithic.

I'm 67 but this forum makes me feel younger. In fact, I never feel my age playing guitar. Playing and learning new songs and techniques keeps my brain from aging at the same rate as my body.

I think most of us here are old enough to know better, but still too young to care.

Agreed. I should have learned more...that's why I'm thankful for your posts. They've taught me more about bitterness, regret and desperation than I could have ever learned on my own...:)

    I'd guess 45 to 55 on average.
