This may not be stress, but in fact “shame” or “regret.” I don’t have a church you can attend, but the path to redemption is shame, regret, sorrow and forgiveness.

Express your basic emotions to those who you’ve harmed, then seek the counsel of a trusted spiritual advisor on how to earn and give forgiveness.

It's boring, but go back to the 3 basics: Eat healthy (fresh food, not processed), exercise (a bit, no need to go nuts) and most importantly (for me anyway) get enough sleep.

This wont fix everything but it will make a difference and may start a positive feedback cycle where you can think more clearly and have the energy to get back on your feet. It is tough though, best of luck to you.

Pick up my guitar and work on my "chop".:)

Seriously, not knowing why your in debt or your financial state.

Stay in communication with the people you owe money to.

Explain your financial situation. Try to work out payment plans.

Usually if this is understood by both parties, something can almost always be worked out.

Hang in there. Long walks and talkin to myself usually worked for me.

Found out I was my best therapist.

There has been a lot of kidding going on, but I hope we may have been of a little help. A lot of us, almost all, have been in different levels of debt and stress. You just need to take things one at a time. I always figure things in steps to an end answer. Usually the first steps are slow. Maybe a couple low wage jobs, that start chipping away at the total. Seek assistance. Sometimes just by opening up to the right person can open doors. I'm no expert and only you know your circumstances. I have found when you have a support network, chances are someone in that network has had the same or similar issue and can provide insight on how to proceed. No one gets through this life alone. Take a look around where you can get and find support and assistance. Like has been said be honest about your circumstance, don't try and BS anyone. If I am lied to, I would not be inclined to give you any slack. There has been a lot of support advise right here on this thread. Your not alone. Let us know of your progress

I'm a firm believer that stress is the number one killer of all living things..
It would appear that I've done a pretty good job of avoiding it so far..

Are you a mando player on a tele site or a tele player with a mando? The pic would strongly suggest the former. If indeed that is your set up, I love it!

Some very childish and immature responses.

But that's one of the reasons I come here, there's always some good humor, and humor helps to relieve stress.
