Put a pickguard on it and it'd be ok. Just looks kinda naked.

I like it. Looks like something Rev Billy G. would play.

I'd prefer the looks of a classic Tele bridge though.

I can see that featured in an upcoming Austin Powers movie.

Methinks the good Rev. Billy G. might like it.

I like it. Not sure about the WR pickup but, as others have noted, it looks like something Billy Gibbons would play. Drop a hot-rodded PAF in the bridge position and I'd rock that.

    (not at that price, though)

is that really a WRHB? it looks too small! my eyes might be thrown off without a pickguard for reference or something... but it just doesn't look right...

That's what I was thinking. Just a regular humbucker with offset adjustable poles. It's got a pickup ring on it. You could put any humbucker in there. I like it. I won't be buyin' it but I like it. It's weird that it would cost more when there's not much to it.

well if thats the case, why hasn't fender done that sooner? its about time they offer a WRHB-style pickup in a standard gibson mount. i can't wait to start seeing SGs with fender pups haha

I don't think it's a WRHB at all, I just think it has offset exposed polepieces. Of course this is just a guess on my part. OTOH, the RI WRHB aren't the real deal either. They are just a regular sized humbucker in a standard, large sized, WRHB cover. Still a cool guitar. They should offer it in different colors.

As a player I put together from spare parts, I like it. I like simple guitars.

As a Fender Custom Shop guitar that probably costs $2,000 or more, not a *^%$ chance.

i just meant a WRHB-style pickup, the vibe of it. i'd also love a split-coil in the shape of a humbucker... like a G&L pickup hiding under a humbucker cover. i'll lodge my requests to fender immediately! haha

i agree... different colors or a pickguard... something. this looks like two scoops of vanilla with a weird humbucker on top

edit: actually, it looks like a tele template with a nice neck attached

^this actually made me laugh out loud. thanks for that!

I'd like it if it wasn't reliced. I think it would suit a nice new shiny finish.
