That's about it. I wanna see some sweet deals and new gear days!
I got a rock...
I don't fall for these scams
Do your research, decide specifically what you want, keep your eye open and your ear to the ground, year round.
Buy used, with few exceptions
You'll do far better than these fake trumped-up sales
I just ordered a Stax Dist II pedal. For $21 after discounts, I couldn't resist getting a combo of a Suhr Riot and MI Crunch Box.
GC has a Shell-Pink strat with tort for six bills. If I didn't already have an LPB I might go for that. Other than that, I got nothin'.
I put money down on a guitar that my local shop has on order (not ordered specifically for me, but for their own inventory). Not a Black Friday thing specifically, but the timing coincides.
I got two new drum kits for EZDrummer. They started their year-end sale today and I got 'em for half off.
If anyone's been eyeing EZD, they're selling in for 80 bucks today. If I didn't already own it I'd be jumping all over that.
Pictures or it didn't happen!
4-way Telecaster switch
I had a $30 coupon for GuitarCenter soon to expire and I've been looking for a Flanger pedal and saw they had the Keeley Dyno My Roto pedal marked down 15%.
I got a turkey and dressing and gravy sandwich for lunch.
Quarantined waiting for results....
I did get a killer Electra SG from the '70s the other day so lets use that.
I only buy commodity items online. I like to see, feel, and try on or try out important purchases. I bought a fall weight jacket at Orvis last week. An invitation came in the mail to come in and start spending. I couldn't help myself. $50 off brought the jacket down below $200. The outlet malls start marking down for Black Friday on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. My wife and I went to Tanger on Tuesday afternoon. I bought a new parka at Michael Kors. $398 down to $149. I don't know how they do it. It was an incredible buy at $398. I buy what I need and leave. My wife buys all I can carry before she's ready to leave. Don't ask about her treasure trove.
Which triggers a memory. First World problem, I confess. Last year we flew to California for Thanksgiving to see the grandkids. No trip is complete without a visit to the outlets in Palm Springs. I bought a couple things I needed. My wife hit Brooks Brothers, Polo, Mulberry (leather goods), Lancome, Tommy Bahama, and more. We got to my son's house and over dinner she announced, "I saved so much at Palm Springs today that it's like the airfare was free."
I had turkey and dressing with gravy. I didn’t turn it into a sandwich.
So far, nothing. I appear to be content with the gear that I have.
Ordered some new Dimarzios. They’re running a deal online for 25% off your whole purchase
A Dewalt Drill and Driver Set for my Son. He might also leave my house with a Stratocaster. See below.
That's cool! Those 70s Electras are some nice guitars. I got a '76 Omega earlier this year, and it's pretty much a spot-on copy of a Norlin Les Paul.
It ain't just a good guitar it's a pretty great guitar.
So far nothing. Been using this year's budget quite well. Got two different sounding Teles, some pedals and stuff for recording. Going to save some more to get pro setup done for the newest one.
It's time to play.
Where's the LOVE it button?
My "LP" is a '70s Aspen, killer guitar.
