I think that is what hipsters call Steam Punk... or some such gibberish.
That's beyond Steampunk and heading into Marquis de Sade. You can sense the guitar's silent screams....shiver.
That poor SG.
Guessing someone made the best out of a broken headstock
I like the extroverted output jack
Big Muff type knobs are cool. Not my thing really but I'll admit it's creative.
Are we sure this isn't one of the new Gibsons? Does it have robot tuning?
Some sort of explanation from the creator.
"Thanks. I'm very satisfied with it myself. I'm toying with plans about wiring a telecaster the same way. I think it would go better with the tele style than on an SG."
I actually think that is cool.
I like it... it looks way better than a lot of bad relic jobs.
It's cool in a frankenstein way. I'm partial to the headlessness if it ( my challenge build is headless, a Tele).
Hopefully this was created from scratch or a repair of a broken guitar.
Pretty much agree what others have said as in it's not my thing but it is interesting and much better executed than some crappy "relic" jobbers so good for him.
I don't understand steampunk.
I'm all for creativity and cool weird guitars, but I'm going to give this one a thumbs down due to poor workmanship, lack of any new ideas, and the fact that it did not actually work at press time.
At least it was a cheap-ish guitar to begin with, I had a '63 Firebird that looked very very similar, was going to restore it but decided it was just too buggered.
I Like it. It needs a gun that shoots out the headstock, like in the Roy Orbison movie "Fastest Guitar Alive". Mad Max tone for days, I'd buy some Kiss platform shoes and weave my own cape. I'd wear an eyepatch even though I don't need one and play "Don't Fear The Reaper" through a cranked Pignose.
Looks like something from Terry Gilliams' film "Brazil".
How would that be tuned? I mean, besides badly....
Hmmm, there are some good potential ideas there, but yeah, the overall end results fall too short. I could see almost every feature working, but the overall shape is rather dreadful. So close, but so far.
You bought it, right?
That thing is an abomination.
