That's a dang good price for that thing, in my opinon.

I do think the guy is putting it on with the "upgraded tuners" bit.

I bought an American Tele in 2002 and it came with those staggered tuners stock.

    Uuunggh, Hulk angry!

I've jumped ship. Can't you guys see that this sort of thing is wrong? It is against the rules! Period!

Well, I've got to go. I want to get my 2004 taxes in nice and early this year, and, since I no longer speed, all my commutes are going to take a little longer, so I better get started....

Oh boy, I hope sarcastic posts aren't against the TDPRI rules and regulations.....

Of course it only helps if someone checks the "Search titles and descriptions" box. If you just do a regular search, it won't hit....

I don't like it. Why is it OK to break eBay's rules? They're a business and they have the right to set the groundrules for doing business there. It's not like they're forcing anyone to participate...

That's the most pearloid looking "Tortoiseshell" pickguard I've ever seen.

    Could of been better

He should have used html to make that copy white rather than smaller. Then you'd never know it's there and still get the search boost. In a way, it would be a great way to help a listing. Assuming that you didn't put all those incorrect search terms in the ad. I'm mean really. What is "Shure sm57" doing as a search term in a Telecaster auction?

    Good Luck

"Shure sm57" is there just to guarantee more irrelevant hits when searching descriptions.

I detest spammers like that. Sorry to those who disagree, but it's a pain in the backside wading through all the garbage when you're looking for something specific.

When you're selling something on eBay, call it what it *is*. If you don't think that'll work and you have to otherwise bust the rules to play, go play somewhere else IMO.

Obviously... asking that question is just my way to saying the guy is a jerk. However, if you did this, in white type on white background so it was un-obtrusive AND you used legitmate Fender Telecaster search words that I think it would be a fine way to help folks find your ad.

I do searches and I think I'm seeing "all" the relevent auctions. But sure enough someone will point me to exactly what I'm looking for that didn't show up with the search term I used.

I hate spamming as well. It's the reason you can't list a classified ad from the Garage Sale here... or an Ebay Auction in the Garage Sale. If that was allowed. There would be hundreds of such ads on the TDPRI every day.

    No thanks!

I wondered about that when I saw the CIJ 62 RI stratocaster ad. I didn't think it was allowed.
