    A guy who starts a thread with "Seams [Clapton's] histoy has shown nothing but an ability to suck off the talent of others..." has no business telling anyone else to "open the mind."

    I don't think the OP had any real interest in settling an argument any more than I believe he didn't mean to bash Clapton. The OP had his mind made up before he started the thread, and it looks to me like he may well have been looking to stir up crap.

    I first clicked on the thread with an open mind -- I really did -- but the OP's intent was clear with the first post.

    One could argue he only played Freddie King/Albert King stuff and slightly pushed the volume button ... splitting hairs... mmmh:D

    My gut feeling is that since the venues Mayall etc. was playing was probably larger that the blues guys were playing Clapton had to turn up more to be heard.
