    Big B on a Tele!

    Whitele,
While not the normal Buckethead style shred, check out both of the Chicken Noodles CDs, available here Buckethead catalog @ Travis Dickerson music.

They are Travis playing a Fender Rhodes, and Buckethead playing a Tele. As a long time fan I appreciate the different styles that Bucket plays.

I wish Jeff Beck would break out the Tele more often, especially live. Sometimes it's easy to forget just how much he can get out of a guitar without a whammy bar. His Tele playing behind Tom Jones and Van Morrison on Scorcese's 'The Blues' dvd is sick, as is his Tele playing on 'The Secret Policeman's Other Ball' with Clapton. Check 'em out if you haven't seen these performances.

I'd love to see what Steve Vai would do with a Tele.

I think I've seen Eric Clapton play everything but a Tele. I'd be curious to see him play one.

I'm with mrp* on this I would love to EC digging into a blackguardish type tele with Broadcasterish type pickups set in the bridge position or/and the middle position, tone riding between 3 to 8ish thru a 50 watt Marshall head and a 4x10 sealed back cab, or a blackface Vibrolux type of amp (you know 35 to 40 wattage w/10's dimed, or well.... double dimed.

To be honest, I wouldn't like everyone to play a Tele!

Then it wouldn't be very special - and I like the Tele, and Tele players, to be a bit special ...
