Life goal of late - don't die.

Everything else will take care of itself.

Not to leave behind a young good looking corpse. I think I can safely say I've achieved that goal.

Since I turned 50 a few years ago, my #1 life goal is to stay in shape and do everything within my power to stay out of the nursing home. Or, "the waiting room" as my dad calls them.

    I'm playing guitar
    I'm writing songs
    I'm recording.

Those pretty much are my life goals. I mean, I've got the family, the house and the stable career already. The rest is just gravy.

Life goal: to go mostly unnoticed by the world.

Work goal: to stay retired, find all my tools, and continue tinkering with my projects.

In my case it's more like a bucket list. I was born in 1950 ... so my death goal is to eventually cross the rainbow bridge in my sleep painlessly. That and find a nice ES-335 for under $2,500 before I do.

With my medical history my main goal is to enjoy life everyday. My secondary goal is to make it to retirement age and enjoy that for a while. Funny how my goals have changed throughout the years.

My 90 year-old mother just moved into an assisted living home, and it is really nice. She says she misses her old apartment, but earlier this year she had a bad fall and that just was not in the cards. I think she likes the new place quite a bit as she has a private one-bedroom apartment with her own furniture and artwork on the walls. After having lived in NYC apartments for a total of 9 years, I figure that I could be happy in such a place, if need be.
My goals? Find something useful to do in retirement, and improve my song writing, guitar playing, singing and recording.

Yup. I know several couples and singles living in a nearby assisted living. They love it. It has apartments and some number of small "garden homes".
