Right now my favorite, and most entertaining is Arm Wrestling. It's a sport where body builders, football players and other strongman fail in most every competition with the ultra strong pro arm wrestlers like Devan Larrett, Dave Chaffee, Michael Todd, Jerry, Denis,,, etc.

What are your favorite strength sports.

    1) General strongman competitions
    2) Specific events within, such as deadlift last man standing ( Eddie Hall making the first 500Kg ) or grip events ( Mark Felix breaking the Hercules Hold record )
    3) Still rings gymnastics

I do CrossFit. I’ve done a few competitions. They’re fun.

But I love watching strongman stuff.

And just like their counterparts on the women’s Olympic soccer team, they are world champs , where as the halitosis men’s team doesn’t even make the playoffs - or the tournament !

It's hard to ignore bouldering as a total body workout.

My old bones suffer with simple rock climbs with ropes these days.

Fire wrestling, any serious dead lift completions, Australian rules football when I’m taking it easy. Wait, you mean to compete in, not watch, yes?

Don’t know what you got til it’s gone.
I could have been a contender.

I’ve got 5 gold medals and 1 silver from six years of tug of war in the Ventura County Corporate Games several years back. Never knew there was actual strategy to it. We hired a guy who used to compete nationally and he taught us the technique of the dreaded Fearsome Farmers of Visalia who were virtually unbeatable. We were taking down teams of young studs twice our size and half our age. A bunch of CPAs kicking butts and taking names down on the beach in Ventura, CA. Good times.

I've practiced Judo for a long time, where the goal is to use as little strength as possible to achieve a submission. However, most Judo players are freakishly strong, as this goal is easier said than done. Not me in the video btw!
