Awesome, thanks. The original spec on that looks extremely similar to my C-1...same active EMG pair.

I've been fascinated by at least the recorded examples of what you can do with a Sustainiac, and I'm eager to hear some people’s thoughts that actually have one.

I did play a Sustainiac on a Fernandez a number of years ago. It was kinda cool but it was only for 20 minutes or so (in store) so I didn't really get a handle on it. Turn an amp up loud enough and use a fair bit of gain to do the same thing - more fun that way, LOL! ;)

EDIT: Oh, and Schecters are phenomenal guitars across their price ranges.

This might be my next acquisition:
Schecter PT Special Purple Burst

ctn9dvrwqqqnvhhlvoaf.jpg

  • Single coil in the bridge, P90 in the neck - great combination!
  • Double bound body and bound neck
  • Tummy cut
  • TUSQ nut
  • Locking tuners
  • Push-pull pot for in/out phase
  • Color - this and "Aqua Burst," mostly greenish

Only thing I'd change might be the brass saddles ... but I'd give 'em a try first.

All for $599 brand new!

... oh yeah, and this:

Hamer "Special K" $599 new if you can find one (limited run).

  • Korina body
  • Set neck
  • Great sounding P90s
  • Plays like a dream
  • Ultra light weight

I normally swap out pickups, but not on this one - they sounded amazing out of the box!
I did replace the tuners with Sperzel lockers.
And the pots and switch and jack with Bourns pots, Switchcraft switch, and Pure Tone jack.
Nut was fine, so I left it alone (some kind of fake bone composition material).

My 1997 Taylor 914c.
Loved by Dave Matthew's

Most personality I have ever experienced with an acoustic. Incredible sound.
Joy to play.
Perfect condition. Any flaws seen are from the light.
Feels like it weighs 4lbs.

Low end Gibsons: Melody Makers, Specials, DC's etc. I own a beautiful LP Standard and an SG Standard, but nothing makes me more happy than cheap flat tops with barely any finish on them.

… which is kind of why I love teles. I feel a strong pull towards the Juniors, Specials…

The majority of my guitars are Gretsch so I'll show three pics of them.

G6120T Players Edition with HS-Filtertrons.

G6120T-DCH-LTD with Ray Butts.

That's half of my Gretsch herd. I also have Gibson, Martin and a few other brands.

I've always wanted an Ibanez S. I've never pulled the trigger but if I ever stumble backwards into a few extra bucks I'd love to have one.
