Me......Les Paul Classic & my D28. What are yours?
Gretsch Anniversary two tone green
I’ve got a heap of Ibanez and Schecter guitars so I’d have to say Those two brands scratch the guitar itch.
The one ive made myself but sadly i cant play it anymore with that 41mm nut and the very narrow floyd rose pro combined.
My MJ Guitars Nashville T, of course.
I’ve owned a couple Gibson electric guitars and they are nice, but I’m a Tele man.
Well, all of them as I have 6 guitars all different models, 2, are Fenders.
It did not used to be this way when I had more $$, and more stuff, but my unofficial rule now is:
'no duplicates of any 1 model/style, get a variety, and gig with everything!'
So one of each:
Strat, Tele, Danelectro, Epi SG, Martin dread, Blueridge 000/OM
D28, without thinking twice
I suppose this is an invitation for, well, something...but I really like my PRS.
(1995 & 1993)
Squiers. I know that's cheating, but I love all of my Squier guitars.
THOSE ARE 2 OF MY Favourites as well.
I have an incoming Martin HD-28 arriving this week fingers crossed, it will take up residence next to my R7 Goldtop and today's new arrival a Grand J16-E 12 String
Nice! Wish I had a Martin. John, do I remember correctly that you made a trip to Nazareth to pick up that guitar?
For my part, my favorite non-Fender guitars are my Logan Custom teles.
I do have one Logan Custom guitar that’s non-tele, Bob Logan’s Challenger model. (Hanging on the right behind the couch.)
I also have a Logan Custom acoustic/electric in tele dimensions, which is my go-to or favorite a/e guitar for gigging purposes. (Hanging on the left behind the couch.)
So, mostly my favorites are my Logans. However, I have one favorite that I’ve had for 38 years, that’s been with me halfway around the world and back, that for 17 years was my only guitar. It’s my MiJ Hohner G-940 dreadnought, bought new in 1983.
Hands down, my MIK Epi Sheraton II. It is also the guitar that I have put the most work in to develop the sound I was after.
Danelectro. That’s the first electric I was obsessed by, and I still own the first one I bought, 35+ years ago. Godin would be my second choice, though. (And to be fair, I don’t actually own a Fender product. A Squier body, yes, but it has a Danelectro neck on it.)
Pretty much sums it up for me
I’m an admitted, unashamed Fender fanboy, but plenty of great brands out there. It’s the heyday of quality guitars IMO.
Really good mentions thus far.
I’ll say that I’ve never had a Yamaha ir a Godin that I didn’t love either. Up and down the price range ladder, tremendous value with these two companies.
