That's a funny story, reminds me of my beginnings with a custom built amp (no for a guitar though :-D) it looks like I'm going to pair her with a Peavey Classic VTX ;-)

FYI: the Danelectro DC-59 sounds amazing(!) through a Peavey Classic VTX. I can only strongly recommend

Sounds great through my Pathfinder 15R as well as my Mustang2. Sounds better than through some of my tube amps.

I like mine through my Vox AC-15. My Danelectro DC-12 is super chimey with my Janglebox compressor. I also have a few vintage Airline and Danelectro amps. Nice, clear ringing tones.

I heard a lot food things about both Pathfinder and Mustang. I just don't like digital stuff so I'm trying to avoid it :)

Another lucky guy! You don't see a lot of the Dano amps these days (at least in Colorado)

I run my '67 through a blonde Fender Super Champ XD. That combo is my main rig for my live band. Dig it.

This pics a bit old but any of these but I am not picky because I really like the tone of my Dano U-1. I bought it for $65 thinking I would flip it but it became a keeper real quick.

I plug my Dano baritone (a Danelectro 56 Pro RI that I modded with a Tele half-bridge, and a baritone neck) into my Carr Rambler.

Anything I got! Mine is actually an early Jerry Jones double cut. I gig with it as much as I do any of my guitars. However it seems to prefer certain amps. It really likes to be plugged into my Super Reverb and cranked. It does well with my Deluxe Reverb too. At home it likes the Vox Pathfinder. For whatever reason it doesn't do so well with the Flot-A-Tone Model 600, Reverend Kingsnake, or the Carr Hammerhead.
