Myself, I'm obsessed lately with certain David Bowie tunes, in particular Life on Mars. Also a lot of live Talking Heads circa 1982.

New car came with free Xmas radio. Addicted to the dead Chanel. Which got me heavy into JGB again (college was fun). Currently into legion of Mary.

I somehow ran across this on youtube and I think it sounds really awesome production wise. Drums especially.

Great singing, great stand-up bass, great drumming, and passable guitar. Somehow this real band consisting of humans playing mechanical stringed instruments and banging dead trees on animal skins (and all doubling!) is cutting a niche in today's scene. I thought I was never gonna hear a good drum sound ever again so these guys are a breath of fresh air!

I often get lost in what youtube feeds me after a single LSD search. The drummer has a great youtube channel called "Drumstix'n chill" that I recommend you check out.

What's more, Wilco always does it for me, skip to 10:55 for their best song...

Great thread. Sinatra's 1955 studio album In the Wee Small Hours is a fav lately. Among other sad songs.

Listening to a lot of Toundra at the moment. Going through all the back catalogue but this 2nd album is my fav. If you ain’t heard of them they are an Instrumental/Post Rock outfit from Spain.
