The Depot...the club in Salt Lake City we WANTED to play. And Zion. That's in Utah, isn't it? Oh, my rotting memory...it's failing me from all the ****ty dive bars we DID play. *sigh*

Cool rock formations and mountains, and/or cheap boob jobs.

Living in Snow Canyon State Park from 1991 till 1994 doing trail rides, camp fire cookouts, and horse back hunting trips in southern Utah.

It was kind of cool have "Scenic Byway 300, Snow Canyon State Park, Utah" as the address on my drivers licenses.

The next thing I think of is Robert LeRoy Parker, the famous outlaw who never shot anyone and was from Beaver, Utah. I have a friend with a big cattle ranch up around Modena, UT, and his family used to have a little general store on the property. He has ledger books of loaning, and selling, supplies to George Cassidy (Robert LeRoy Parker's outlaw alias) back in the day.

Another favorite thing in Utah is the Red Iguana restaurant in Salt Lake. I can say they have the best mole I've ever had outside of Mexico City. Every time I drive anywhere within 100 mile of Salt Lake I put in an order and make my way there.

I LOVE Utah, and think it may have some of the most breathtaking scenery in the USA. Sure some of the folks there are a little clannish and have their click they hang with. I don't bother them and they don't bother me, although some of them did used to call me Porter Rockwell(the 1850's gunslinger hitman for the LDS Church) when I lived there. Must have been the long hair, beard, and gun I used to wear.

On this site, the first thought is speakers but then I quickly shift gears to Snowbird and Alta, then over to those very strange liquor laws.

as a transplanted Californian, I will say it is a good place to raise your kids, considering we moved here from the distant Sacto. area in the late nineties. Strange to be called " non members". But , having said that our kids, the Mrs. & myself were ALWAYS invited to social/church functions, treated with nothing but kindness, even after politely decling offers to learn more about their faith. All in all, a good place.
    P.s.
The Hotel Roberts was torn down a few years ago. Gracias A Dios.

Besides the obvious, check out the wiki article on "Summum". Their leader Corky Ra brought back mummification!

I was told that you can never be totally naked. Even while showering, you hang the underwear off one arm, wash the other, then switch.
