Welcome, Derick! Can't wait to see it!

There are some cool strat/tele hybrids out there, but to me, the best looking ones have strat bodies and tele headstocks.

I would try it with, and without the steel pickguard. I've heard (no personal experiences) that metal pickguards can affect the tone of the pickups.

Remember that you can put a strat neck in a tele pocket but not the other way around. Have your bridge in hand as you lay out the geometry. Post some pictures

Yeaah, ya see now, if it was me and I was doing a hybrid, it would be a hardtail strat body with tele bridge and pickups. Just sayin'.

Even more important question: will that be a Stratelecaster or a Telatocaster?

Can’t say I approve personally but I think turning other guitars (offset tele, that parallel universe strat) into telecasters generally works better aesthetically than the opposite. The tele configuration is not busy, so it works slapping it on most other guitars. Whereas when you take a busy layout and put it on a tele it looks so out of place.

I saw recent years duosonic with a telecaster bridge and bridge pickup on Reverb last year. I wondered how it sounded, but not enough to actually buy it.

The MIJ offset teles are killer.

If you are going w/ 3 pickups, you might want to consider a blender control, or some other mod that will allow you neck/bridge combo

heres my Thinline TeleStrater I built this summer

Whoa. That’s a bit of everything. I see Talman, Tele, Strat? and Les Paul.
