Awesome, thanks for sharing!
Pretty neat. My life is quite dull in comparison.
My first gf rode an R65LS. A few years after we parted ways, she bought an R80GS PD and with another fella set off to ride from Sydney to London. There was a falling out between them along the way so she finished the journey solo, she had to disguise herself as a man in certain countries to prevent unwelcome advances from people who wanted to either race her off or kill her for doing things that women shouldn't do (ie be free to move through the world independently of men).
I'd like to see more of that water tower house.
Women bikers are hot.
Are you suffering for quarantine?
Btw, much Better than silicon chiks.
this is a woman who doesn't just "have a motto" - she's LIVED it.
hand on heart - hat off
Peace - Deeve
And, she did it on ONE Tank of Gas!
I can honestly say, I could never make a ride like that.
Motorcycle diaries....early Che Guevara biopic. But yeah...you go girl, thats quite a feat.
As said, quite a woman.
Recognize the guy on the right? That's Pat Simmons of the Doobie Brothers. The gal on the left is his wife, Cris Sommer-Simmonds, co-founder of Harley Women Magazine and an author specializing in motorcycling. She's been inducted into the American Motorcycle Association Hall of Fame three times. In the pic they are getting ready to ride the cross-country Motorcycle Cannonball Endurance Run 2016 across the U.S. on pre-1916 motorcycles.
Here she is riding in Wyoming in 1981.
My wife? She's the most solid rider I've ever carried. She's just as solid as a rock back there.
Awesome story, thanks for sharing
Cool story! And yes, that water tower home is neat.
Nice bike !
I wonder: does she live alone in that tower?
To me, it looks like a medieval keep.
However, I don't think any of them were that tall.
