The Pebble Beach pro-am is on today and it is cool and rainy.... I think I will stay inside wearing my comfy slippers and sit by the fire and watch these nuts hit a ball around a field in the rain.

seriously though, wish I was out there, if only I were famous or had a boatload of money.

I guess I’m just gonna refuse to have any sympathy for pro golfers and celebrities playing golf - which is a game, not a sport - in one of the most beautiful locations on the planet when it’s almost 60° with a little precipitation.

Ya feel me ?

(Full disclosure - I have watched the Pro-Am a number of times over the last 20 years and enjoyed it, but I could also think of 100 different things that I would rather have where those golf courses are located along the coast.)

And listen to this great Malcolm Gladwell podcast on the tax breaks which some of the rich golf clubs are benefitting from…

I'd take that!

Back in the early 80s I played Pebble Beach and Spyglass Hill courses, and what a blast it was. I'd do it again on a cold drizzly day.

Perspective, baby!

the weather will ease around noon... I'm about 40 miles from there... it is a glorious morning. I'm working from home and took a long walk in the drizzle... it is an amazing morning and I'm sure the golfers are enjoying the challenge and will really enjoy the later festivities.
