    Whatever that means to you.

Here’s a little something I did to kill time during this lockdown.

This Tele was originally a Deluxe Nashville.

Now it sports one pickup and a volume knob. I probably won’t be playing any love songs on it, but man can it rip!

Well, if it must be a Tele, then I’ll say this one.

I have just a few guitars anymore.
So my Danelectro '56 U2 RI ( which does play a lot of gigs, and I love) is my choice for.most unique. I got in in '97 as it looked cool and was cheap, not knowing then how much it would get used for any music I can play:

All of mine are nice but not really unique. Just average off the shelf Tele, Strat, LP×2, SG and 339

Probably my Squier Tele-turned-Esquier. It's the whole package of characteristics and circumstances that make it unique, I guess.

    unnamed-4.jpg

I found this beauty on barely-local Craigslist. A 1989 Korean Squier Tele with Bigsby. I'd been jonesing for a Bigsby'd Tele, and seeing as my only other options were a Fender ($$$) a Cabronita (not into it) or installing one myself :)confused:), this caught my eye. The seller was 2.5 hours away and asking $150. It was a no brainer (not that it didn't take some TDPRI prodding to finally get me in the car).

It turned out the Bigsby was not original to the guitar, not installed quite perfectly, and the Schaller tuners were installed at a weird angle. But the guitar was solid and sounded good, and the deal was great. A further 2.5 hours and one very sore butt later and I was home and happy.

After some thinking, I decided that, since I already had a more typical Tele, this should be a little different, and so I decided to make it into an Esquire. I cleaned up the guitar as best I could, got a new control plate and electronics, a Cavalier Fat Lion pickup, some upgraded Bigsby bits from Callaham and, of course, a new pickguard, and voila!

    unnamed-8.jpg

The switching includes straight-to-jack, standard volume-and tone (with a no-load tone pot) and an Eldred circuit. This guitar is a monster that should not be able to do all it does. It may not be entirely unique, but it's got a fun story to it, it rips, and it cost me maybe $300 total plus gas. I call it a win.

Does this count? It's more than a guitar

If not, then probably the Tejalegua Jazzlemacaster baritone

I have several weirdo homebrew guitars, but the weirdest one is probably this one.

my first mod.... that feeling of putting a router through a perfectly good finish for the first time... oh yeah...:D

strumming that first E chord was like hearing the sound in my head of how guitars sounded from my youth...

It isn't a guitar. It's a dulcimer. And I don't have a picture, but it was a gift from Mrs. Idjster and I just love it. Sorry I don't have a photo.

    This one.
I’ve had it about 32 years.
    It’s undergone countless mods.
I got the neck in 1984.
It’s been all over the United States and Canada. 46D18D24-EC0B-47E4-9309-13CAE9708475.jpeg

This one’s an oddball English take on a tele from Burns
