Here’s our two Miniature Schnauzer boys, Merry and Pippin.
Me and the kids lobbied for a dog for ages... one day my wife said, “If we got a dog it would have to be a Miniature Schnauzer,” and that was it, done deal!
The kids have moved out now so I like to say we upgraded to these guys...

I mentioned my Dalmatians... I don't know why but I don't care for smaller dogs generally. No bad experiences in general, they just don't appeal to me. I do like cats quite a bit.

    Sorry, no dogs... :(

Why ? We wouldn't want to make them unhappy - for fear of not having enough time to devote to them. o_O

we adopt a dog and we are his master

a cat adopts you and you are his servant

Golden Doodles. Half Golden Retriever and half Poodle. Happy and friendly as any Golden and smart as a Poodle. Ours is 11 and he has never stopped behaving like a smart puppy. They don't shed and they're hypoallergenic. Scotch (like butterscotch) is about 80 pounds. Doodles are about as kind and sweet with small children as a dog can be. His bark is like thunder if something goes bump in the night.

Scotch is my official yard work anti anxiety emotional support dog. This is what he does while I mow and do yard work...….

1A8FE9E6-F685-4A11-BB5B-6A776B155A58.jpg Ricky, a Schnauzer we lost not long ago was my buddy. He was really athletic and graceful. And loud! He could jump up on the furniture with almost no effort at all. I like Boxers too but I think we're sticking with smaller dogs now. Our other dog Lucy is a Wheaten Cairn.

I like lots of dogs. Bigger ones better then little yappy dogs. I even grew to love my former landlady's boxer who drooled on everything. A former girlfriend had a Borzoi who was the sweetest dog I ever knew.

But I'm more of a cat person.
