You Wisconsin guys sure are proud of your dairy. It is like you forget that California exists. The name of one of the cities I used to live in literally translates to cow town. (I only joke about this because I went to college in Wisconsin but grew up in California - most of the folks I met there that bragged about Wisconsin dairy genuinely didn't know that California was the leading dairy producer in the U.S., let alone a major dairy and ag state).
That Wisconsin cheese is a good runner up though (especially brick cheese) and I always liked the milk in a bag thing when I visited my friend in Manitowoc.
Wisconsin doesn't know california cheese exists, and neither does california. They may have dairy, but there's no culture around it there. Same with beer. When I go shopping the cheese section is at least 3 aisles, both sides. That's normal here, even kind of small. Cheese from everywhere too, not just our own. I've never seen any decent cheese selection at a store in california. Also, most of the cheese I've had from california was low quality. I think if it's not goat, brie, or soft specialty, it's just not good there. If I want to be impressed by another state's dairy, I go to quebec. You Wisconsin guys sure are proud of your dairy. Is it gonna rip
No posts since 14:11. RIP MikeEskimo.
The lactose and galactose got 'im, I'm sure.
This is what Mrs. bsman insists on for her hot cereal, etc. Funny - I used to be lactose intolerant (had a few close calls with dinners far away from home...) - but about 20 years of abstinence from non-fermented dairy seemed to reset my gut and I can tolerate it now. I sometimes still feel a bit queasy when eating some whipped cream or tomato soup, but now I don't feel queasy after!!!If you don't have a milk or lactose intolerance you'll be fine. In fact, turn it up to 11. Go back to the store and get heavy cream.
I think you're looking for the main Tele Forum, Piggy, this is the Bad Dog Cafe. You can get all kinds of info here, some of it is even helpful, can be even fun. Guitars, not so much.how has no one repeated the Swanson quote - 'the only thing I hate more than lying is skimmed milk - which is water, lying about being milk'
I do wonder about people who tune into the site for guitar discussion and their first thread is all about what milk to put on bran cereal
has every topic in the world been exhausted? Is it time to ask who puts 11s on their guitar?
wound G, anyone?
“Province”, to be specific. Touchy subject these days….If I want to be impressed by another state's dairy, I go to quebec.
Build strong bodies 12 ways (Or is that Wonder Bread?).I succumbed to a box of cereal at Trader Joe’s today. I haven’t eaten cereal in well over a decade.
Believe me, it’s just some kind of organic TJ raisin bran. Not Fruity Pebbles.
But I eat so much broccoli on a weekly basis that I said - screw it , I’m getting whole milk.
Is it gonna rip my innards apart?
I do eat nonfat thick Greek yogurt every morning. It’s so thick you could easily tape sheetrock joints with it.
Definitely going to do it tomorrow morning because I’ll be at home working all day… In case !![]()
Oh man, they must love you. How far do you have to go to get to a dairy farm from where you are?“Province”, to be specific. Touchy subject these days….
My wife is from Québec. We sneak cheese back in our luggage every time we visit. She started making her own cheese curds because she couldn’t find them in Arizona. They were so good we started selling them at farmers markets. Some of the Snowbirds from Wisconsin would turn their noses up at them at first, thinking they couldn’t possibly be any good, but once they tried them we had some Wisconsinites return week after week to buy them.
When you metabolize fat, you make cholesterol. If your cholesterol is high, eat less fat. What the medical profession actually knows with any certain about cholesterol is . . . just about nothing.
Enjoy the whole milk, and the butter.
Mike Eskimo here, just wanting to let everyone know that I'm okay, and still able to communicate with the Bad Doggers. Just a taddy bit confined since my milk dunking episode, but ever the thinking man, I prepared for all contingencies.
