What’s under the mirror tele pickguard?

    I figure it’s routed for the tradition neck pickup.

    Does it have the wire channel? Does it have that lower bout guide circle thing?

    Um ... asking for a friend who doesn’t always like pickguards.

    Never seen a vintage-style US body with locating circles
    The service manual parts list describes the body as BODY AM VINT TELE UPG 2012 2-BOARD WBL.
    The other Fender vintage bodies (52, 58 and 64) do have the open wire channel

    According to some here, if you remove the pickguard it's no longer a Fender... ;)
